Information Security Manager is responsible for developing and managing Information Systems cyber security, including disaster recovery, database protection and software development. Manages IS security analysts to ensure that all applications are functional and secure. Being an Information Security Manager develops and delivers IS security standards, best practices, architecture and systems to ensure information system security across the enterprise. Implements procedures and methods for auditing and addressing non-compliance to information security standards. Additionally, Information Security Manager migrates non-compliant environments to compliant environments. Evaluates the organization to ensure compliance with standards and relevance with industry security norms. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Information Security Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be an Information Security Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required. JOB SUMMARY- Assists with hiring, time management, budgeting, and productivity, provides direction, and evaluates employees. Assigns tasks to staff and project management oversight of coordinated efforts. Responsible for developing procedures in support of wide and local area networks and services throughout the hospital and its affiliates. Provides second-level support to Account Management Analysts, Cybersecurity, Network Technician teams, and other teams. Responsible for monitoring, updating, and implementing all tools related to security and cybersecurity. Responsible for the management of account provisioning for all applications managed by Information Systems. All activities will be performed in support of the strategy, vision, and values of Phoebe. Nothing in this job description restricts management's right to assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time.
- Adheres to the hospital and departmental attendance and punctuality guidelines.
- Performs all job responsibilities in alignment with the core values, mission and vision of the organization.
- Performs other duties as required and completes all job functions as per departmental policies and procedures.
- Maintains current knowledge in present areas of responsibility (i.e., self education, attends ongoing educational programs).
- Attends staff meetings and completes mandatory in-services and requirements and competency evaluations on time.
- Demonstrates competency at all levels in providing care to all patients based on age, sex, weight, and demonstrated needs. For non-clinical areas, has attended training and demonstrates usage of age- specific customer service skills.
- General environment: Works in a well-lighted, air-conditioned area, with moderate noise levels.
- May be exposed to high noise levels and bright lights.
- May be required to change from one task to another of different nature without loss of efficiency or composure.
- Periods of high stress and fluctuating workloads may occur.
- May be scheduled as needed including overtime.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS- 4-year / Bachelor's Degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field, or in lieu of a Bachelor's Degree; an Associate's Degree and 10 years of professional experience. (Required)
- 8 years of experience in a technical support position with specific experience with micro-computers, peripherals, and data communications. (Required)
- 2 years of experience with LAN and WAN networks (Required)
- 2 years of experience in Network operating systems especially Microsoft Active Directory, as well as in operating systems such as Windows, Linux, and DOS (Required)
- 2 years of experience with Security and anti-virus techniques (Required)
- 2 years of experience with Enterprise class wireless network infrastructure (Required)
- Preferred Certifications/Licensures: Computer Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or Associate of (ISC), CompTIA Security , and Certified Information Security Manager (CISM)
