Hyperbaric Technician jobs in Alabama
Hyperbaric Technician administers hyperbaric oxygen therapy and diagnostic testing to patients under the direction of a physician. Documents required treatment details including equipment settings, treatment duration, and patient response. Being a Hyperbaric Technician operates hyperbaric chamber and other hyperbaric support systems in accordance to all applicable safety standards and regulations. Performs cleaning of chamber and equipment according to infection control policies. Additionally, Hyperbaric Technician performs equipment checks and system maintenance. Requires a high school diploma. Requires Certified Hyperbaric Technologist (CHT). Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Hyperbaric Technician works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. To be a Hyperbaric Technician typically requires 1-3 years of related experience. (Copyright 2024 Salary.com)

Job Description:
To administer hyperbaric oxygen therapy to appropriate patients. To operate and monitor the hyperbaric chamber and hyperbaric support systems safely and efficiently, reporting any safety concerns to appropriate leaders. To maintain the chamber as specified by chamber regulations. To maintain accurate medical records detailing results of each patient's therapy session, diagnostic tests and follow-up visits. To provide hyperbaric therapy education and training to new technicians.High School diploma or GED and one (1) year hyperbaric chamber experience required.
