Hydraulic Technician jobs in Vermont
Hydraulic Technician troubleshoots, diagnoses, repairs, reconditions, and services all hydraulic machines, systems, and components. Communicates findings and recommendations to customer and management. Being a Hydraulic Technician must be proficient in basic cylinder assembly and teardown skills. Typically requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Additionally, Hydraulic Technician typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Hydraulic Technician possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. Works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. As a Senior Dam Engineer, you will drive the development of cutting-edge solutions in dam engineering. Your tasks include safety inspections, design planning, contract document preparation, and construction oversight for dynamic dam projects.
Qualifications- B.S. or M.S. in Civil Engineering required; M.S. or graduate-level coursework preferred.
- Experience in hydrology & hydraulics; permitting background is a plus.
- Proficiency in geotechnical/foundations, structural concrete, and earth embankments.
- Knowledge of FERC dam safety design criteria and state/federal regulations.
- Client management skills, construction cost estimating capabilities, and AutoCAD proficiency desired.
- VT or NH PE certification, or eligibility to obtain within 6-12 months.
