Human Resources Generalist jobs in Oklahoma

The HR Generalist is responsible for performing HR-related duties on a professional level and works closely with senior HR management in supporting the organization. This position carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: benefits administration, employee relations, training, performance management, onboarding, policy implementation, recruitment/employment, affirmative action, and employment law compliance.

Responsibilities

• Manage the full recruitment lifecycle, including job postings, candidate sourcing, interviewing, and selection.
• Conduct new employee orientations and facilitate the onboarding process.
• Prepare and maintain employee files and records.
• Serve as a point of contact for employees’ HR-related inquiries and concerns.
• Facilitate communication between employees and management to ensure mutual understanding and problem resolution.
• Assist in the development and implementation of employee engagement programs.
• Assist in the management of performance appraisal processes.
• Provide support and guidance to managers on employee performance issues.
• Coordinate employee recognition and reward programs.
• Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other company-sponsored benefits.
• Conduct open enrollment meetings and provide ongoing support to employees regarding benefits.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
• Assist in the development, implementation, and enforcement of company policies and procedures.
• Maintain knowledge of legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting HR functions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Business, Human Resources, or related area
• 3-5 years' of experience working in Human Resources
• SHRM-CP or PHR certification preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Strong knowledge of HR principles, practices, and legal regulations.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
• Proficiency in HRIS and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
