Position Summary | The Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) Manager is the subject matter expert for human resources systems. Partnering with IT and University stakeholders to implement, support, and provide advanced level expertise of the ERP system, reports, and interface integration and to enhance UNCA's Human Resources systems and Applications. This position oversees the HRIS operations and staff in the selection, build, testing, implementation, maintenance and administration of HR technology solutions and integrations. The HRIS Manager will be a key member of the Office of Human resources. This position reports directly to the CHRO. Serving as the technical point of contact and providing functional and technical support across various platforms including daily support, maintenance, and configuration. The HRIS Manager will collaborate with multiple functional areas and with key stakeholders. The position will be a project lead to support enhancements, testing, and other technical projects to support our people strategies. This role will ensure that the most efficient and effective reporting and data integrity solutions are developed and implemented to meet the business needs of UNCA HR operations. Through deep knowledge of HR systems and processes, along with strong technical knowledge, this position applies sound judgement and discretion to problem solve, ensuring the development and implementation of new systems and processes result in increased productivity, efficiency, and enhanced HR service delivery. This requires an understanding of all HR functions across functional areas (i.e., benefits, employment, classification, talent management), policy requirements, and HR trends, to achieve goals and objectives. |
