HRIS Manager manages and oversees an organization's Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS). Develops, implements, and modifies software and hardware requirements based on changing business requirements. Being a HRIS Manager maintains internal database files and tables, and develops custom reports to meet the requirements of company management and staff. Provides the necessary training to meet end users needs. Additionally, HRIS Manager typically requires a bachelor's degree or its equivalent. Typically reports to Director. The HRIS Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Extensive knowledge of department processes.     In this highly visible and pivotal role, you will be responsible for managing Human Capital Management (HCM) systems initiatives in a service-oriented and integrated global human resources operation function.

    Role Responsibilities

    • Partners across functions effectively meet the HR technology needs of the organization by working to scope, prioritize, and deliver across the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
    • Performs overall planning, design, implementation, and administration of new systems or changes in existing systems to support the Human Resource functions.
    • Direct and manage members of the HRIS team in support of the suite of HCM applications.
    • Hire, manage, and develop team members to ensure optimal performance.
    • Develop and oversee the execution of tactical plans to ensure that Human Resources information systems support the division’s strategic objectives.
    • Partner with functional areas within and outside of HR to ensure that technology related needs are adequately addressed and prioritized.
    • Provide HR system administration, including business process configuration, reporting development, end user training, and data management in support of maintaining Workday as a best-in-class employee experience forward platform.
    • Perform additional Workday administrative functions including tenant configuration, data loads, integrations, and reporting.
    • Review business procedures/workflows to ensure system features are being fully utilized and identify Workday features that may improve efficiency.
    • Cohabitate in Sandbox environments and work within an established, well-controlled systems environment by defining, documenting, and enforcing system standards.
    • Provide pre- and post-launch end-user support, change management, issue resolution, testing, and training to enhance and optimize Workday processes.
    • Document technology specifications for current and future configuration.
    • Maintain accurate change management documentation to satisfy internal/external audit controls and compliance practices.
    • Understand Workday's Implementation Methodology and use it on all projects.
    • Function as the domain support for feature releases and issue resolution, supporting the Workday Architect to define scope, prioritize, plan, and implement system changes and enhancements.
    • Maintain working functional knowledge of HR and HR systems across multiple functions and teams, driving community collaboration and a commitment to a great support service experience.
    • Foster ongoing Workday relationships – relevant memberships and engagement in Workday Community, User Groups, and Conferences.
    • Function as support to business partners and work to enhance their understanding of Workday.

    Role Requirements

    • Education or equivalent skills are required, 7 years of HRIS experience with 5 years of Workday configuration and management experience; Workday Pro or Workday Certifications is a plus.
    • 2 years of project management experience with cross-functional teams.
    • 2 years managing and leading both direct and indirect reports.
    • Ability to maintain effective relationship management across all levels of the organization.
    • Solid understanding in multiple cross-platform Workday modules; understanding of how they function together and impact up/downstream.
    • Bachelor's degree in information technology or related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the key accountabilities of the job.
    • Deep understanding of Workday data model, corporate system architecture, interfaces, reporting, and data loading procedures.
    • In-depth understanding of SDLC and Workday’s implementation methodology; prefer experience with implementation projects.
    • Ability to work with others on solutions with attention to detail and relentless commitment to follow-through.
    • Ability to convey ideas and recommendations to a wide variety of audiences at all levels in a clear, compelling, and succinct way in written and verbal communications.
    • Effectively communicate complex technical content to non-technical partners.
    • Ability to work in a ticketing environment; prefer experience with ServiceNow.
