Housekeeping Supervisor supervises the daily operations of a housekeeping services department to ensure offices, patient/guest rooms, facilities, and other specified areas are kept in a clean and orderly condition. Responsible for standards' establishment, staff training, schedule/resource coordination, workflow inspection, inventory maintenance and equipment supplies. Being a Housekeeping Supervisor may require a high school diploma or its equivalent. Typically reports to a manager. The Housekeeping Supervisor supervises a small group of para-professional staff in an organization characterized by highly transactional or repetitive processes. Contributes to the development of processes and procedures. Thorough knowledge of functional area under supervision. Exemplifies the image of “Aloha” while assisting guests in accordance with Outrigger policies and procedures. Assist in the administration of the Housekeeping & Laundry department with the supervision and coaching of assigned staff as well as facilitating department meetings. Responsible for the daily Housekeeping & Laundry operations in the guest rooms and public areas. Supports and assists in implementing policies and procedures for the staff set forth by management.
Two (2) years housekeeping supervisory experience or hotel managerial experience or an equivalent combination of education training and/or experience highly preferred. Computer literate in all MS Office applications, with excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must be able to multi-task and have excellent organizational, customer service, problem-solving, and team management skills. Able to work independently and as part of a team. Must have the flexibility to work various days and shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
