Hoist and Winch Operator sets-up and operates a hoisting machinery. Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Being a Hoist and Winch Operator may have to complete an apprenticeship and/or formal training in area of specialty with 0-2 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Additionally, Hoist and Winch Operator relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. · Ability to answer phone and provide exceptional customer service to our customers.
· Ability to maintain professional customer relationships.
· Process all paperwork needed for the main office and make sure it flows to the main office for final processing.
· Work with inspection profiles, scanning of inspections and repair quotes.
· Repair quotes – be able to source parts with costing and profitable pricing to follow up on delivery for installation of the parts into the customers equipment with staging for technicians.
· Organize all paperwork related to the branch as well as process all orders per the guidelines of the main office.
· Schedule and implement the branch meeting between sales and branch management to assist in better flow for the branch.
· Maintain inventory parts area for the branch - keeping track of stock items and re-orders.
· Have a working knowledge of all Federal, State and local codes for overhead traveling bridge cranes and hoists.
· Capable of working with technicians and subcontractors in a cooperative manner and offer suggestions and comments which are constructive to the job.
· Work independently without direct supervision in the branch.
· Work with customer on potential additional work.
· Follow company and safety procedures.
· Must become familiar with associate handbook and all policies & procedures.
· Assist in managing field labor/craft to achieve high team performance, teamwork, openness, collaboration and team goals.
