Helper- Brick and Stone Mason jobs in New York
Helper- Brick and Stone Mason prepares and lays brick, concrete block, tile, marble, and related materials using chisels, hammers, trowels, and other hand tools and implements. May require a high school diploma or its equivalent. Being a Helper- Brick and Stone Mason may have to complete an apprenticeship and/or formal training in area of specialty with 0-2 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Additionally, Helper- Brick and Stone Mason relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. - Perform manual labor tasks such as digging, lifting, and carrying materials
- Operate power tools and equipment safely and efficiently
- Assist with the installation of drywall, masonry, plaster, and other building materials
- Follow schematics and blueprints to ensure accurate construction
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
Experience:
- Previous experience as a Laborer or in a similar role preferred
- Knowledge of carpentry techniques and power tools
- Experience with drywall installation, masonry work, or plastering is a plus
- Familiarity with frame carpentry and metal stud framing techniques is beneficial
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $200.00 - $300.00 per day
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
