    About the Role:

    Our client is seeking a dedicated Desktop Support Technician (Tier 2 Help Desk Specialist) to assist with lower-level technical tasks in conjunction with the newly hired Systems Administrator. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of our IT infrastructure and providing exceptional support to our staff.


    Key Responsibilities:

    • Windows 10 and Office 365 Support: Provide comprehensive support for Windows 10 operating systems and Office 365 applications, including troubleshooting, installations, updates, and user assistance.
    • Active Directory Management: Perform account management tasks within Active Directory, such as account creation, password resets, and general maintenance.
    • Customer Service: Deliver high-quality customer service to all staff members, addressing technical issues promptly and courteously to ensure minimal disruption to their work.
    • Hardware and Software Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues, ensuring all desktops, laptops, printers, and other peripherals are functioning correctly.
    • Incident Management: Track and manage help desk tickets using the ticketing system, ensuring timely resolution of all issues.
    • System Maintenance: Assist in routine maintenance tasks, such as software updates, system backups, and performance monitoring.
    • Documentation: Create and maintain detailed documentation for system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
    • Collaboration: Work closely with the Systems Administrator and other IT staff to support larger IT projects and initiatives.


    Requirements:

    • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Windows 10 and Office 365 support.
    • Active Directory: Experience with Active Directory, specifically account management and password resets.
    • Customer Service: Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on providing excellent customer service.
    • Hardware/Software Troubleshooting: Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues.
    • Incident Management: Experience with help desk ticketing systems and incident management.


    Qualifications:

    • Previous experience in a desktop support or similar technical support role.
    • Ability to work onsite at 2425 Reedie Drive, Wheaton, MD 20902.

    • Excellent communication skills.
    • Familiarity with network troubleshooting and basic network configurations.
    • Experience with remote support tools and techniques.


    Contract Details:

    • Duration: 6 months with the possibility of extension based on performance and business needs.
