    Scope Of Work

    The Metropolitan Pier and Exposition Authority (MPEA) is seeking a dedicated Help Desk Support Specialist to provide comprehensive IT support and maintain the IT functions for approximately forty to fifty staff members across various disciplines, including accounting and construction management.

    Responsibilities

    • Help Desk Support:

    Provide 24/7 help desk support online, by chat, and by phone for all IT and A/V-related issues.

    Assist staff with troubleshooting and resolving hardware, software, and network problems in a timely manner.

    Maintain detailed records of support requests and resolutions.

    • Workstation Management:

    Manage and support 41 workstations, including 24 open cubicles (with expansion capability for 30), 13 semi-enclosed offices, and 3 semi-enclosed C-suite offices.

    Provide IT support for the security office, receptionist station (connected to the AVAYA phone system), and team rooms with A/V capabilities.

    • Network Monitoring and Maintenance:

    Remotely monitor all IT, A/V equipment, software, and network systems to ensure optimal performance.

    Perform regular maintenance, updates, and replacements of equipment and software as necessary.

    Manage network security and backup systems, ensuring all devices have the latest malware and virus protection.

    • Infrastructure Support:

    Maintain all IT, A/V, and other infrastructure components, including desktop phones, A/V closet, and server room.

    Support various collaboration spaces, a café with a flat screen display, and two conference rooms with full A/V capabilities.

    • Software Management:

    Maintain software licenses, update, replace, and provide new software as required/requested.

    Assist in the installation and configuration of new software and ensure compatibility with existing systems.

    • Procurement and Asset Management:

    Assist in purchasing and installing new IT equipment and software, with costs covered by MPEA.

    Maintain an inventory of all IT assets and ensure they are up-to-date and functioning properly.

    • Training and Documentation:

    Provide training and create training materials on IT systems and procedures for MPEA staff.

    Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for IT support processes and procedures.

    Risk Assessment And Reporting

    Conduct quarterly risk assessments of the IT function and report findings to MPEA Senior Management.

    Provide recommendations for hardware, software, and system performance improvements.

    • Continuous Improvement:

    Stay updated on the latest IT trends and technologies to ensure MPEA's systems remain current and efficient.

    Provide cost-effective and modern recommendations for software and equipment enhancements or replacements.

    Qualifications

    • Proven experience in providing IT help desk support.
    • Strong understanding of network security, malware, and virus protection.
    • Proficiency in managing A/V systems and IT infrastructure.
    • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to provide effective solutions.
    • Strong communication skills and the ability to coordinate with various teams.
    • Experience in procurement and installation of IT equipment and software.
    • Ability to conduct risk assessments and provide strategic recommendations.

    Additional Information:

    • The term of the agreement is three (3) years, with potential extensions in one-year increments up to a two (2) year term.
    • MPEA reserves the right to terminate the contract at the end of any one-year term.
