    Our Downtown Branch has an immediate opening for an Help Desk Specialist! This full-time position is primarily 8-5 Mon-Fri with occasional overtime.

    Position Overview:

    The Help Desk Specialist position’s primary responsibility is to provide first level support to employees or external customers relating to technical issues involving core business applications and operating systems. Additionally this position may perform routine network systems maintenance.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Responds to user issues via phone, email, computer chat or in person
    • Manages user requests in a timely manner
    • Provides employee or external customer assistance
    • Documents user interactions
    • Runs diagnostics to resolve user-reported issues
    • Escalates complex and/or advanced issues to the next level of support
    • Installs, makes changes and repairs workstation hardware and software
    • Follows up with users to ensure issues are resolved
    • Performs workstation and peripheral management / administration
    • Sets up new users and performs IT orientation per prescribed standards to workstation, telephone and other devices
    • Performs data extraction and report writing
    • Travels to other branches to perform maintenance and repair of hardware and software as needed
    • Processes, prints and uploads documents into appropriate databases as required.

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

    • 1 year experience with current technology or in a help desk environment required
    • Previous coursework or certification in computer science or related field preferred
    • Previous operational banking experience required, or a combination of education and experience
    • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts with minimal notice
    • Available to work overtime if necessary
    • Proficiency with Microsoft operating system and applications
    • Ability to diagnose and resolve basic workstation technical issues
    • Ability to follow complex detailed instructions to accomplish more complex tasks
    • Excellent oral communication skills
    • Strong attention to detail
    • Strong interpersonal and problem solving skills
    • Ability to lift 50 lbs
