Head of Anesthesiology is responsible for the efficient operation of anesthesia services. Develops, implements, and maintains anesthesia procedures and practices. Being a Head of Anesthesiology works closely with hospital staff, department directors, and physicians to ensure the highest standards of quality and service are maintained. Manages a staff of anesthesia technicians and nurses. Additionally, Head of Anesthesiology requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a top management. The Head of Anesthesiology manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be a Head of Anesthesiology typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function. Tufts Medical Center Department of Anesthesia has outstanding opportunities for CRNAs to join our growing practice. In this role, you will work in multidisciplinary teams on complex cases as well as in fast paced outpatient settings. We cover close to 14,000 cases annually in 23 ORs and several non-OR locations.
As an integrated member of the Anesthesia Care team, you will be exposed to a diverse case load in multiple surgical specialties. We encourage you to pursue your interests in sub-specialty areas such as cardiac anesthesia. In addition, you will have the opportunity to provide clinical instruction to SRNAs and to participate in other departmental initiatives.
