Being a Head Golf Professional coordinates marketing programs to promote the facility's services to potential customers and oversees member events and daily play. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Head Golf Professional requires an active Professional Golfers' Association (PGA) membership. Typically reports to a golf course general manager. The Head Golf Professional manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. The Head Golf Professional works within the Operating and Capital Budgets as approved by the Board and members and shall serve as an ex-officio member of the Golf Committee.
The ability to provide an unparalleled level of service and actively engage all segments of the Cleveland Country Club membership is paramount to this position's success.
The Head Golf Professional at Cleveland Country Club acts as the club’s ambassador of golf and must be fully engaged in all areas of golf operations management, administration, business and financial activities.
Reporting Structure :
The Head Golf Professional reports to the General Manager.
