Graphic Design Supervisor supervises graphic designers on the completion a variety of design projects. Consults with clients regarding project requirements, defines project scopes and design standards. The Graphic Designer will use expertise in design and computer applications to interpret client needs, execute, design, and prepare artwork for print.
Key responsibilities & duties
1. Must have experience using and working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator.
2. Must be able to utilize the Adobe Creative Suite and other Mac-based computer software to assist with innovative design, layout revisions, photo editing, and other client requests.
3. Must have a good eye for detail, design, and accuracy.
4. Completes projects within given time set by AMI standards.
5. Communicate and interact well with peers, supervisors, and clients.
6. Learn and keep up to date with new features and techniques of the Adobe Creative Suite and other innovations within the field. Be able to integrate such new concepts into assigned projects.
7. Present projects professionally at all times.
8. Remain organized and able to balance day-to-day tasks with projects simultaneously to meet deadlines in a fast-paced and demanding environment.
9. Always give 100% effort to projects regardless of whether they are grand and exciting or simple and repetitive.
10. Ability to achieve results while taking pride in the product you create.
Academic & trades qualifications
● Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, fine art, or relevant field
● Minimum 1-2 years’ experience in related field preferred
● Proven experience with Adobe Creative Suite and Mac OS
● Portfolio required
