    Job Summary

    InDepth is currently seeking a full-time exempt Geophysicist I as an addition to our Geophysical Division in our San Diego, CA office. The role of Geophysicist I is a field geophysicist. Geophysicist I is an entry level position responsible for data acquisition and equipment maintenance with no previous field experience required. The Geophysicist I will perform data acquisition and maintain daily field notes and distribute data for further processing in support of both conventional and advanced classification geophysical services. InDepth has currently adopted a 4/10 schedule for in-office days and subject to change at any time. Must be located or willing to relocate to San Diego, CA within a month from date of hire. Must have a valid driver’s license.

    Essential Functions:

    • Performing Munitions and Explosives of Concern (MEC) geophysical field activities
    • Maintaining field equipment before, during, and after data acquisition activities
    • Documentation of daily field activities and daily distribution of field data

    Other Duties:

    • Entry-level data-processing activities and reporting
    • Equipment organization and maintenance
    • Equipment inventory

    Required Education:

    • Bachelor's Degree in Geophysics, Geology, Environmental Science, or closely related field
