Performs a variety of semiskilled duties in the areas of plumbing, carpentry, electrical, painting, or plastering. Being a General Maintenance Worker assists maintenance engineers and other workers with their tasks. Complies with established safety guidelines and procedures. Additionally, General Maintenance Worker may require a high school diploma. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. SUMMARY
The General Maintenance Worker in the Structures Shop performs a variety of duties involving the general maintenance, preventative maintenance, repair, installation, and general upkeep of structures and equipment using practical skills and knowledge in a variety of trades. All other duties as assigned. Employees are required to drive company vehicles on a Federal Installation.
