Furniture Finisher restores and preserves furniture using variety of hand and power tools. Applies knowledge of fabrics and wood furniture to complete projects. Being a Furniture Finisher may require a high school diploma or its equivalent. May have to complete an apprenticeship and/or formal training in area of specialty with 2-4 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Additionally, Furniture Finisher is familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Works under general supervision. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. Typically reports to a supervisor/manager. (Copyright 2024 Salary.com)

The current opening is for a Finisher experience desired but not required. General duties are:- Fill all casings with foam via the stuffing machine, blow foam machine or by hand.
- Adjust all casings to properly fit the foam as designed.
- Close all casings via the zipper pull or closing machine.
- Make quality buttons via the button machine.
- Install quality buttons using the butting tufting tool.
- Inspect all finished cushions for quality.
- Package all cushions.
- Label all cushions.
- Scan all items finished with the computer to receive.
- Place finished items on mezzanine for receiving.
- Assigned personnel are to receive and store foam on mezzanine.
- Clean up of finishing area, mezzanine, and stairs
