Fraud Prevention Supervisor jobs in District of Columbia

Fraud Prevention Supervisor supervises fraud detection associates in their effort to identify and prevent future fraud. Leads cross-functional initiatives to proactively detect and prevent fraud from occurring. Being a Fraud Prevention Supervisor regularly reviews the team's work product and makes recommendations as needed. Researches, documents, and implements best practices in the fraud prevention industry. Additionally, Fraud Prevention Supervisor analyzes current processes and procedures and makes recommendations to promote more effective operations. Provides training and guidance to new employees. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Fraud Prevention Supervisor supervises a small group of para-professional staff in an organization characterized by highly transactional or repetitive processes. Contributes to the development of processes and procedures. To be a Fraud Prevention Supervisor typically requires 3 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor.     Are you passionate about advocating for justice and empowering whistleblowers? The Anti-Fraud Coalition is a public interest, non-profit, legal organization dedicated to defending and empowering whistleblowers who expose fraud on the government and financial markets and we are seeking a full time Director of Legal Education to spearhead our efforts in the whistleblower law space.

    Responsibilities:

    • Develop and organize legal education programs, including webinars, conferences, and symposiums.
    • Provide educational content to the public through our blog and other publications.
    • Speak regularly at conferences outside of the organization (moderate travel required).
    • Assist in preparing amicus curiae briefs and comment letters.
    • Conduct analytical research and writing assignments.
    • Educate legislators and the general public about emerging legal issues and trends.
    • Collaborate with partners at the Department of Justice and other government agencies to promote best practices.

    Qualifications:

    • Juris Doctorate and current State Law License in good standing required.
    • Minimum 5 years’ experience practicing Law preferred.
    • Outstanding legal research and writing skills.
    • Preferably with law review or other journal experience.
    • Familiarity with the False Claims Act and government whistleblower programs.
    • Self-starter with a passion for community building and addressing "big picture" issues.

    Compensation:

    • Competitive starting salary of $125,000, commensurate with experience.
