Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Fraud Prevention Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Fraud Prevention Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     The Opportunity:  The Manager, Fraud Prevention is responsible for the daily management of a team of fraud detection/prevention analysts in the execution of transaction fraud detection processes, mitigation strategies, and corresponding fraud trending/reporting. The Fraud Prevention Manager will work to continuously review and enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of fraud risk management strategies while driving business objectives.

    What You Will Do:

    • Utilize technologies and techniques to detect and prevent fraud while seeking out opportunity to automate or simplify complex processes
    • Review appropriate queues to reduce instances of fraud, identify areas of high fraud activity, and work in conjunction with the risk team to make our fraud practices more robust
    • Partner across the business to assess new business initiative risks and develop fraud mitigation strategies.
    • Identify fraud trends in portfolio, create remedies, and report on statuses
    • Responsible for growing, developing, and training the team of Fraud Analysts
    • Helps develop, maintain, and implement policies/procedures to detect and prevent fraudulent activity.
    • Maintain currency with technological changes, advancements, policies/procedures, and regulations as it pertains to fraud
    • Educate staff and contractors on fraud and associated behaviors
    • Be the trusted internal resource by demonstrating a deep understanding in your area of ownership

    The Experience You Will Bring:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Criminal Justice, or Analytics
    • 5-7 years of hands-on experience in Loss Prevention/Fraud Investigation, preferably in the ecommerce, financial services, financial technology, law enforcement, or retail industry
    • 3 years of team leadership experience
    • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
    • Strong relationship building skills to work effectively across all areas of the business
    • Proficient in MS Office products
