Manager will advise once a new hire has received their forklift license and document signed.
Orientation/Training is held on Monday. Candidates will remaining in training for 1 -2 weeks on first shift 6am-2:30pm.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities- Professional, accident-free operation of the forklift, and the precise keeping of the forklift inspections.
- Systematic maintenance and cleaning of the forklift
- Continuous tracking of the location of goods during material handling using WMS. Use the WMSystem accordingly and ensure accurate data entry.
- Perform any other manual job at the direction of the warehouse supervisor or team lead (e.g. sampling, inventory, cleaning)
- Keep the warehouse clean and tidy
- During the seed delivery and return season: ensure proper (loading and unloading) of transport vehicles with quality packages to meet customer expectations
- Maintain safety standards - initiate & follow emergency procedures when necessary
**Forklift Certification**
Preffered Experience- 1 year of forklift experience
- 1 year of warehouse experience
- Prior forklift certification is preferred
- Ability to count accurately when moving inventory
- Ability to read scales
- Ability to multi-task and detailed oriented
- Being alert and aware when driving the forklift in a safe manner
- Ability to communicate and work by yourself or with a team
- Ability to work in tighter, confined spaces with a forklift
