Floral Designer designs and fashions live, cut, dried, and artificial floral and foliar arrangements for a variety of events. Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent with at least 4 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Being a Floral Designer is familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. A Floral Clerk is first and foremost responsible for guest relations and satisfaction by building a reputation for Ultimate Service. - Perform floral duties in accordance with company guidelines
- Assist in watering and department maintenance as needed
- Performs other duties as requested or required by upper management
- Working knowledge of plants and flowers
- Ability to work in varied temperatures
- Ability to work in fast-paced, but efficient and controlled manner
- Ability to perform all physical aspects of the floral duties including but not limited to standing, bending, lifting, and walking
- Ability to read, write and complete company forms for sales reporting
- Ability to accept supervisory coaching related to performance, work habits and attitude
- Ability to effectively communicate with guests and co-workers
- Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 30 lbs. and push and pull up to 100 lbs.
- Be able to perform all other physical aspects of the position including but not limited to bending, squatting, standing, lifting, climbing, pushing, pulling, and walking
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including holidays
- Ability to function as a team member and get along with others
