Fitness Instructor coordinates all fitness programs for a facility. Organizes and instructs exercise classes for all fitness levels. Being a Fitness Instructor ensures that all participants are properly trained on the use of the facility's exercise equipment. Responsible for making sure that the exercise area and equipment are safe and clean. Additionally, Fitness Instructor may require a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. Typically reports to a supervisor. To be a Fitness Instructor typically requires 2 to 4 years of related experience. Gains exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. Life of a Fitness Coach at Orangetheory:- Guiding and motivating members through pre-defined workouts
- Ensuring members are using correct form and offering adjustments if needed
- Demonstrate usage of fitness equipment utilized for each workout
- Perform basic cleaning and maintenance of the state-of-the-art studio
- Understanding the science behind our strength and heart-rate focused training programs, and staying up to date on active fitness industry trends
- Building meaningful connections and creating community as you expand your personal brand and network within the fitness industry
- Positively changing the lives of others by helping members set and achieve personal fitness goals
- Currently fitness certified from an education company approved by Orangetheory Fitness:
- ACE, ACSM, ISSA, NASM, NSCA
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Current AED/CPR certification
- Successful completion of the OTFit Certification Program
- Have a functional understanding of strength and heart rate-based interval training
- Experience working in a fitness environment (preferred)
