Ensures that all documentation complies with company regulations, professional standards, and SEC and GAAP reporting guidelines. Being a Financial Reporting Supervisor may serve as a liaison with external auditors. May require a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Financial Reporting Supervisor typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Working team member that may validate or coordinate the work of others on a support team. Suggests improvements to process, is a knowledge resource for other team members. Has no authority for staff actions. Generally has a minimum of 2 years experience as an individual contributor. Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Prepare, analyze, and file the Company’s SEC filings (e.g.,10-K, 10-Qs, and 8-K). This includes preparation of the document, XBRL tagging, completion of the disclosure checklist, and ensuring all filing deadlines are met. Prepare and file required reports to a variety of regulatory agencies such as the Federal Reserve and FDIC. Prepare monthly reports that go to Board as well as various other reporting. Preparation and submission of the bank’s quarterly Call Report. Collaborates with cross-functional teams, such as Risk Management, Audit and Credit, to gather relevant data and ensure accuracy of inputs for reporting purposes. Analyze vendor financial statements and report findings to the Vendor Management Committee. Work closely with and assist auditors in obtaining necessary documentation as requested. Stays updated on regulatory changes, accounting standards, SEC reporting requirements and industry practices related to Accounting and Finance. Adheres to compliance with all federal bank regulations and laws, including those for consumer protection and the Bank Secrecy Act/Anti-Money Laundering Program. Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements and Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field. A professional certification such as CPA is preferred. Minimum of 5 years banking experience in SEC Reporting
In-depth knowledge and understanding of regulatory reporting requirements (e.g., Call Reports, etc.) Strong understanding of GAAP, and regulatory guidelines (e.g., FASB, SEC). Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and make sound recommendations, with attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting. Proficient in using financial systems and software applications, such as Excel and regulatory reporting tools. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present complex concepts in a clear and concise manner. Strong leadership skills, including the ability to work collaboratively and effectively with leaders and employees at all levels in the organization.
