Summary
The Associate Financial Advisor is a critical member of the Rademacher Financial team, responsible for delivering extraordinary client service and care. First and foremost, this role is designed to work alongside the client-facing team and a Lead Advisor to assist clients with any service/financial needs they may have.
Secondly, this position involves assisting a Lead Advisor with financial planning and account service. The Associate Financial Advisor works under the supervision a Lead Advisor and assists them directly with their book of business. This position sets a successful candidate to eventually meet with clients of the firm on their own. With experience, the role can evolve into a Lead Advisor position.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
o Attend client meetings for a segment of the firm. Prepare for and contribute to meetings as assigned, take notes, prepare summary letter and log follow-up tasks in CRM system.
o Attend prospective client meetings for a segment of the firm. Work with Advisor and rest of team throughout the onboarding process, preparing financial plan, documents and other steps in the process. Prepare and track new business/account service forms and open client accounts.
o Prepare financial plans for new clients. With growth in the position, prepare and present recommendations.
o Update financial plans for existing clients on an annual basis. Develop scenarios showing different options under the guidance of Advisor.
o Complete follow-up planning activities from client meetings.
o Answer ongoing financial planning questions for clients as needed.
Qualifications & Expectations
o One year of professional experience preferred. We are also open to candidates with experience in the securities industry as well.
o Hold or complete RIA Licensing Examinations (Series 66) within the first 90 days.
o Hold or complete Kansas Insurance Licensing Examination shortly after or concurrently with Series 66.
o Begin coursework within first year of employment towards the Certified Financial Planner Designation (timeline TBD).
o Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
o Well-developed interpersonal skills. A people person at heart who loves working with the public. This position presents opportunities for in-depth knowledge of clients as well as educating them on financial planning topics/issues.
o Attention to detail with a perfectionist’s eye.
o Effective time management skills demonstrated in an ability to multi-task in a dynamic environment while prioritizing independent tasks and meeting aggressive deadlines.
