We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Assistant Controller for our retail store. The Assistant Controller will have a strong background in retail, demonstrating knowledge of accounting principles, practices, standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain a strong control environment and implement best practices
• in financial processes and systems.
• Prepare detailed budgets and financial forecasts in collaboration with the executive team.

• Coordinate and direct the preparation of financial statements, business activity reports, financial position forecasts, annual budgets, or reports.
• Monitor the financial performance of the company, identifying trends, and implementing corrective actions as needed including balance sheets, daily reconciliation, and other financial statements. standards, tax regulations, and internal policies.
• Handle retail accounting specifics, including revenue recognition, inventory accounting, and payment reconciliation.
• Assist in the preparation and analysis of financial statements
• Assist in preparing annual budgets and periodic forecasts, collaborating with department heads. Ensure compliance with accounting
• You will take part in updating and harmonizing store operating procedures in close collaboration with the operational staff responsible for the various processes concerned, in both stores (sales, collection, customer service, operations, stock & logistics, security).
• You will take part in cross-functional audits of back-office processes: interviews, testing, and feedback to top management.
• Maximize payroll and efficiency through innovative process development
• Develop expense control procedures to help increase profitability
• Help develop and support short and long-term operational strategies

• Bachelor's degree in BusinessAdministration,Human Resources, or a related field.
• Proven experience in retail Operations, Human Resources, and bookkeeping.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in MS Office Suite and basic accounting software.
• Knowledge of labor laws and HR best practices.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
