Finance Supervisor jobs in Maryland

Home Improvement Finance Partners is now hiring a Collection Specialist Supervisor at our corporate office in Towson.

The primary focus of this position is to communicate with payers to resolve issues and facilitate payment of outstanding accounts, oversee and assist others in the daily collection process, monitor and report overall delinquency rates, and evaluate and implement methods to more efficiently manage payer accounts to reduce delinquencies.

Primary Responsibilities/Accountabilities/Essential Functions:

• Contact customers with delinquent accounts to discuss payment options and negotiate repayment plans.
• Manage escalated collection calls and assisting customers when a supervisor has been requested.
• Assign aging accounts and workloads to collectors.
• Monitor and review aging accounts in order to prioritize collection efforts and identify potential risk while assisting and coaching collectors on ways to decrease their delinquency rates.
• Stay updated on industry regulations and best practices to ensure compliance with legal requirements and ethical standards when collecting payments.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• 5 years of collection and supervisory experience
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong negotiation and problem solving skills
• Critical thinking skills
• Knowledge of Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) and other laws governing debt collection practices.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle customers in a professional manner.
