Position Summary
As a Senior Tax Accountant, you'll play a crucial role in our finance team, managing tax compliance, planning, and advisory services for a diverse clientele. This position requires a strategic mindset, deep tax knowledge, and a commitment to delivering exceptional results.
Responsibilities- Prepare and review complex tax returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance with tax laws (forms 1120, 1120S, 1065, 1040, 1041).
- Conduct thorough tax audits and provide actionable recommendations.
- Collaborate with the tax team to develop and implement effective tax planning strategies.
- Provide advisory services on mergers and acquisitions, financial modeling, and corporate tax matters.
- Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations, ensuring compliance for the company and clients.
- Assist in financial reporting and analysis, providing insights for management decisions.
- Mentor and guide junior staff members, fostering a supportive learning environment.
- Liaise with tax authorities and represent clients in tax disputes when necessary.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or Master's in Taxation preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in tax accounting, with a focus on corporate tax and compliance.
- Proficiency in tax forms 1120, 1120S, 1065, 1040, 1041.
- Strong understanding of state and business tax planning.
- Excellent financial analysis and modeling skills.
- In-depth knowledge of tax laws and regulations.
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities with a strategic approach to tax planning.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex tax issues clearly.
- Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects.
- Strong leadership skills with experience in mentoring team members.
- Proficiency in tax software and relevant computer applications.
- Competitive salary range: $90,000 - $140,000 per year
