Finance Director jobs in Virginia
Finance Director directs an organization's financial policies, planning, reporting and controls. Oversees all financial functions including accounting, budget, credit, risk, tax, and treasury. Being a Finance Director generally is the second most senior finance executive. Requires a master's degree in accounting or finance or equivalent. Additionally, Finance Director may require the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) credential. Typically reports to chief financial officer (CFO). The Finance Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be a Finance Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function. The Role: Enterprise & Cloud Applications Specialist
About The Team
Our Enterprise & Cloud Applications team is a diverse group of experts passionate about overcoming the challenges of implementing, optimizing, and maintaining cloud solutions. We work closely with clients to maximize their technology investments, offering services such as New System Implementations, System Integrations, Upgrade Assessments, and Business Process Optimization.
Your Impact
In this role, you will play a key part in shaping the strategic direction of our Cloud & Enterprise Apps practice within the Financial Services vertical. Your responsibilities will include:- Leading project teams and serving as a primary point of contact for clients
- Educating internal and external stakeholders on ERP best practices, particularly within the Financial Services sector
- Driving business development initiatives, including expanding existing accounts and pursuing new opportunities
- Mentoring and developing team members to reach their full potential
- Participating in career development activities and technical training programs
We are looking for candidates with the following qualifications:- 5 years of direct experience in Oracle Cloud, Workday, and/or SAP implementation, upgrade, and support
- 10 years of overall experience, including recent client-facing roles in a professional services environment
- Deep understanding of the Financial Services industry, with specific expertise in banking, FinTech, and insurance
- Hands-on experience with full life-cycle implementations within Financial Services, including knowledge of key financial reporting requirements
- Strong track record of meeting business development targets and leading successful project teams
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, IT, or a related field
- Flexibility to travel as needed (approximately 25%)
While not required, the following qualifications would be beneficial:- Oracle ERP or Workday Financials certifications
- Experience managing technical development projects and liaising between technical and user teams
- CPA or MBA
