Field Service Supervisor jobs in Ohio
Field Service Supervisor oversees field service personnel who perform on-site routine services including installation, maintenance, and repair. Schedules and trains field service representatives. Being a Field Service Supervisor responsibilities also include maintaining offices and facilities including ensuring inventory is fully stocked. A level I supervisor is considered a working supervisor with little authority for personnel actions. Additionally, Field Service Supervisor may require a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Working team member that may validate or coordinate the work of others on a support team. Suggests improvements to process, is a knowledge resource for other team members. Has no authority for staff actions. Generally has a minimum of 2 years experience as an individual contributor. Summary
Responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the field service team including scheduling and quoting. This position is also expected to perform field service functions as required during higher demand or lower staffing situations.
Essential Functions
- Schedule and oversee the daily activities of the field service team.
- Provide quoting and invoicing for paid service, training, and the pump repair program
- Work closely with project management team to ensure the project scope is well defined and proper preparations have been made.
- Instruct, guide, and monitor the activities of the field service team to ensure technically correct installations.
- Ensure the team provides feedback on product problems through the QN process.
- Utilize COS tools to define, track and continually improve key metrics, with a focus on customer service and work efficiency.
- Communicate with direct reports to provide them with a clear understanding of their goals and objectives.
- Provide training as well as career development opportunities for direct reports.
- Responsible for hiring, conducting performance appraisals and salary reviews, coaching, counseling, discipline, and other supervisory activities.
- Provide installation support and technical services as required during high demand or low staffing situations.
- Four-year technical degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Five years of successful experience in a technical environment.
- Extensive knowledge of Ransburg systems and components.
- Must be able to resolve technical problems, be team oriented, and manage multiple priorities.
- Highly developed sense of integrity and commitment to customer satisfaction.
- Excellent organizational, time management, written and verbal communication skills.
- Ten years of successful experience in a technical environment.
- Extensive knowledge of Ransburg, Binks PCE, BGK and MS systems and components.
- Ability to travel both domestically and overseas.
