Field Operations Supervisor

The Field Operations Supervisor will use their knowledge and experience to supervise the installations, trouble tickets of customers, the scheduling of Installation technicians, and maintenance on customer services on a true fiber to the home network. This will include coordination of workload, team building, training, process development with management, emergency outage management, and making sure the customers are connected on the scheduled date. They must also be able to comprehend reports, effectively communicate with customers, and make recommendations about where improvements can be made.

Work will be performed under the general direction and supervision of the Field Operations Manager. The Field Operations Supervisor will directly coordinate with in-house and contract resources to ensure that company objectives are achieved and that all deadlines are met. They must be able to multi-task and provide quick responses to installations and Service drop related issues. The Field Supervisor must know how to coordinate and adjust resources to ensure that employees, contractors, and materials are utilized most effectively.

The candidate must have a good aptitude for using software and computers to generate reports, manage installations, trouble tickets, and work orders.

Responsibilities:

Essential duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to those listed below:

• Supervises installation/repair Installation Technicians to ensure compliance with company guidelines regarding all key performance indicators (KPI's) including quality, customer service, safety, work-order completion and productivity goals.
• Ensure Installation resources (employees, contractors, materials) are properly planned to meet scheduled customer appointments
• Use software to generate trouble tickets, scheduled installs, and other reports related to Field Operations Team
• Help coordinate technicians throughout the day
• Run weekly reports on installation, tickets, and maintenances
• Provide quick responses to any installation challenges
• Identify problems and help improve processes
• Support QC inspections and reporting for completed installations and field work

Qualifications:

• Experience in FTTH installations, troubleshooting, and general field maintenance
• Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks
• Ability to communicate effectively
• Excellent time and project management skills
• Proven Installation management work experience in the telecommunications field
• Basic knowledge of OSP telecom construction management processes, means and methods
• Ability to create and understand reports in order to make production decisions
• Ability to track and manage multiple technicians
• Competent in conflict and crisis management
• A desire to promote the success of the organization, production staff and contractors
• Local to Medina County, OH or willing to relocate
• Basic knowledge in FTTH OSP, road moves, pole transfers, and general field maintenance
• Basic Fiber splicing knowledge, experiences a plus
