Fast Food Shift Supervisor jobs in Connecticut
Fast Food Shift Supervisor is responsible for supervising food preparation and restaurant operations during assigned shifts. Schedules employees based on anticipated staffing needs, and ensures workers are trained in proper food handling practices, safety, and cash handling procedures. Being a Fast Food Shift Supervisor addresses customer complaints and prepares documentation for cash and inventory reporting. Assists team members during rush periods to ensure restaurant efficiency. Additionally, Fast Food Shift Supervisor may be responsible for restaurant opening and/or closing. May require a high school diploma or equivalent. Typically reports to a manager. Working team member that may validate or coordinate the work of others on a support team. Suggests improvements to process, is a knowledge resource for other team members. Has no authority for staff actions. Generally has a minimum of 2 years experience as an individual contributor. Thorough knowledge of the team processes. (Copyright 2024 Salary.com)

Job Duties:
- Prepare food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces)
- Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff
- Accommodate special dietary requests and modifications while maintaining the integrity of the dish.
- Stock inventory appropriately
- Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion
- Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
- Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers
- Contribute ideas for new sandwich variations and menu enhancements, demonstrating creativity and a keen understanding of flavor profiles.
Experience:
- at least 1 year of previous experience as a fast food crew member or a fast paced restaurant setting is preferred.
- Food Handler's certificate is a plus
