Facilities Engineer
As part of our continued expansion, we are on the lookout for a Facilities Engineer (IC1 G2) to join our growing team based in South Burlington, Vermont.
As a Facilities Engineer, you will support will support a stable, secure, documented, scalable and responsive systems environment, while ensuring reliable high performance operation of all infrastructure and other technical services.
The Role
As a Facilities Engineer, you will be responsible for:
• Providing technical assistance for the company’s infrastructure and hosting operations.
• Providing support for the IT Infrastructure & Operations, Network/Server and Storage
• Providing support for additional build outs, meet established SLAs per application and/or service.
• Establishing a working relationships with third party providers including but not limited to ISPs, phone carriers, and other cloud providers
• Supporting a heterogeneous environment that includes multiple hardware vendors (Cisco, HP, Dell, F5, etc.), MS Windows, and Linux
• Meeting SLA’s for IT services ensuring the functional operation and adherence to SLA’s for these services.
• Assisting in researching potential technology solutions and implementations in support of new initiatives, opportunities, and procurement
efforts.
• Ensuring availability of all critical systems through regular review and testing.
• Participating in the escalation procedures and work flow for the timely routing and resolution of all issues.
• Supporting of the established definition of IT Infrastructure standards and policies.
• Performing and supporting the ITIL based policies and procedures i.e. change management
• Facilitating and maintaining an a high level environment resulting in client retention
• Documentation and ticket creation of infrastructure changes in the ticketing system.
• Data center operations via 24 hour monitoring and support, which at times may require overtime hours to be performed.
• Lifting 50lbs.

Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications & Experience Required:
• 2 years of experience working in and supporting IT technical environments and solutions
• Experience with supporting data centers
• Proven success in supporting solutions in an Internet, network, Communications, Financial, Enterprise, Cloud or Data Center environment to clients.
