Traveling Exhibit Technician

We are currently seeking a full-time Traveling Exhibit Technician to join our team.

Job Description

The Traveling Exhibit Technician is a field biased role that performs a variety of site activities including, but not limited to, equipment install, maintenance, inspections, retrofits, repairs, and routine service. This position requires a person to travel as needed for extended periods of time within the U.S. and abroad.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Install exhibits alongside Exhibit Fabricators.
• Perform major corrective repairs, maintenance, inspections, retrofits, large component exchanges and repairs as assigned throughout North America and Abroad in a safe and efficient manner following company procedures and processes
• Diagnose, analyze and resolve issues on exhibits
• Identify potential hazards and communicates to management
• Follow defined instructions and schedules, executing plans as directed and performs according to instruction from management
• Establish and maintain proper business relationships with customers, subcontractors and peers, as well as perform necessary administrative duties accurately
• Utilize appropriate safety gear, protective equipment, and control or dissipation of energy sources to ensure work is performed in safe manner
• Properly maintain tools and equipment used to perform repair activities
• Other responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications:

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Team player with strong organizational skills
• Demonstrated use and understanding of power tools
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally for extended periods of times and also requires working overtime, including flexible and variable work schedule to meet business needs
• Able to work independently and on a team in a fast paced setting
• Ability to read, interpret and understand drawings, schematics, instructions and schedules
• Basic computer skills, familiarity with internet based programs, MS office, and ability to generate data and reports using a computer
• Must possess a full valid U.S. driver’s license
• Ability to obtain a U.S. Passport
• Ability to lift materials up to 70 lbs.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
