General Purpose: As the Stewarding Manager at Sandestin Golf & Beach Resort, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our culinary operations. Your responsibilities will encompass the supervision and coordination of all stewarding and dishwashing activities, ensuring a seamless flow of clean and sanitized kitchen equipment, tableware, and utensils.
Essential Duties- Leadership: Provide strong leadership and direction to the stewarding team, fostering a culture of excellence, teamwork, and accountability.
- Operations Oversight: Oversee all aspects of stewarding and dishwashing operations, including dishwashing, equipment cleaning, and organization.
- Inventory Management: Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring adequate stock levels are maintained.
- Hygiene and Sanitation: Ensure all kitchen equipment, tableware, and utensils are thoroughly cleaned, sanitized, and organized according to industry standards.
- Team Training: Train and develop stewarding staff in proper cleaning techniques, equipment operation, and safety protocols.
- Quality Control: Maintain high standards of cleanliness and presentation in all culinary areas, working closely with chefs and culinary teams.
- Safety Compliance: Enforce safety protocols and practices to maintain a safe and accident-free work environment.
- Budget Management: Assist in budget planning and cost control measures related to stewarding operations.
- Communication: Foster effective communication between culinary teams and stewarding staff to ensure seamless operation.
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience in a stewarding or dishwashing leadership role preferred.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to handle high-pressure situations.
- The role involves standing and walking for extended periods.
