Ethics and Mission Integration Director incorporates the organization's mission, values, and philosophies into the operations, policies, and goals of the organization.     The BAE Systems FAST Labs RF, Electronics, Cyber Converged Solutions (CS) Technical Area is growing rapidly. Ranging from generation of new RF/cyber algorithms through demonstration of advanced electronic warfare capabilities on integrated systems at government ranges, CS has established itself as an industry leader in the development of cutting-edge technologies. With this growth, CS is seeking a program director to help drive the strategy to include full life cycle sustainment of capabilities. Through innovative R&D and customer program collaboration, your work will help enable the rapid development, fielding and sustainment of effects and capabilities across the RF/cyber spectrum for next generation mission support.

    The Programs Director will own a portion of a product line's strategic plan through capturing and executing sponsored research programs. In this role, you will guide disruptive cyber technologies from research efforts into BAE System's Business Areas' products and services and help ensure sustainment through technology refreshes. You will be expected to manage, coordinate, plan, organize, control, integrate, and execute a portfolio of projects and will ensure achievement of financial, schedule, and technical goals. Additionally, you will be given the opportunity to support new business performance objectives that generate new business capture and development of strategy and business plans for the company.

    The Programs Director will report to the CS Technical Area Director and this position will be based in our Merrimack, NH facility. You will be expected to model and demonstrate strong leadership in ethics, safety, and security for both your staff and your programs and direct people-management responsibility may be a part of this position.

    Primary Responsibilities
    • Manages, coordinates, plans, organizes, controls, integrates, and executes a projects or collection of projects. Ensures achievement of financial, schedule, technical, and new business performance objectives. Participates in the support of new business and in the development of financial plans for the company to achieve customer commitments and meet business growth expectations.
    • Responsible and accountable to the Business for program execution, profitability, timeliness, and overall success. Makes decisions that are cost effective to the company and ensures assigned projects meet financial commitments for orders, sales, profit, and cash flow.
    • Collaboration across the larger BAE Systems organization to facilitate the development and transition of game-changing cyber technology.
    • Demonstrate visible leadership across the portfolio, leading by example to deliver program performance excellence.
    • Lead through inspiration and encouragement and foster a culture of innovative problem solving, performance excellence, and continuous improvement on the program team to deliver affordable, effective, and dependable outcomes.
    • Significant customer interaction, initiating customer contact to help create new business opportunities at DoD research and development organizations such as DARPA, AFRL, ONR, ARL as well as non-traditional R&D organizations.
    • Aid in the development of the portfolio strategy to pursue R&D funding to achieve annual growth.

    Required Education, Experience, & Skills
    • 12 years' work experience with bachelor's degree and/or equivalent experience in program or capture management and/or with functional activities related to the program lifecycle, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Demonstrated experience in building customer and supplier relationships, leading customer interactions and discussions of a technical and/or strategic nature.
    • Ability to understand customers' needs and objectives.
    • Ability to lead complex teams that are distributed across geographic locations in a borderless fashion.
    • Financial management expertise and experience executing to revenue and profit targets.
    • Ability to communicate effectively and work cross functionally in a highly matrixed organization to achieve results.
    • The ability to develop creative solutions to highly complex problems.
    • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification.
    • Knowledge of externally reported Earned Value Management.
    • Prior experience leading production programs with transition to production knowledge

    Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
    • Minimum 15 years of demonstrated experience leading diverse teams in a high tempo, aerospace electronic systems development environment.
    • Master's Degree in engineering or business administration.
    • New Business Capture Lead experience / Proposal manager experience.
    • Strong business acumen.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Experience with externally reported Earned Value Management.

    Pay Information
    Full-Time Salary Range: $147300 - $250400

    Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
