Escrow Officer is responsible for providing escrow information to clients and loan officers. Supervises the preparation and delivery of all necessary escrow documents. Being an Escrow Officer provides mortgage holders with required tax documentation for filing tax returns. Ensures the process and documents are in compliance with all applicable regulations and laws. Additionally, Escrow Officer may require an associate degree. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Escrow Officer supervises a small group of para-professional staff in an organization characterized by highly transactional or repetitive processes. Contributes to the development of processes and procedures. To be an Escrow Officer typically requires 3 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor.     The Escrow Officer drives escrow revenue growth in our firm and delivers the highest level of professional service to clients. The Escrow Officer coordinates and handles with integrity all aspects of complex escrow resale and refinance transactions. The Escrow Officer will work from a transactions inception (opening) to consummation (closing) with minimal supervision while implementing our company values and vision. The Escrow Officer is a critical team player and works or directs their team in being task oriented, achieving goals and executing a plan for building or maintaining a customer base to ensure their financial contribution to the firm.

    General Description

    Responsible for examining titles, searching real estate records, and compiling a list of mortgage and other contracts. Implements company values and vision in directing their team and achieving goals.

    Primary Responsibilities

    • Examine and verify titles, search real estate records and summarize legal or insurance documents
    • Compile lists of mortgages, contracts, and other instruments pertaining to titles by searching public and private records for law firms, real estate agencies, or other title insurance companies
    • Provides guidance to the Title team in all aspects of the Title process, training, and group productivity
    • Search, analyze, and evaluate records relating to titles of homes, land, and buildings
    • Ensure that the title to a property in question has no restrictions that may prevent or hinder its sale or use
    • Issue title insurance, acquire rights of way, buy and sell property, grant mortgage loans, and obtain and protect mineral rights
    • Search public and private records for law firms, real estate agencies, or title insurance companies
    • Examine deeds, deeds of trust, liens, judgments, easements, and plats/maps to determine ownership, encumbrances, and to verify legal descriptions of property
    • Prepare property reports and title commitments
    • Analyze chain of title and preparation of reports outlining title-related matters
    • Enhance Premier's Title team's reputation by consistently providing excellent customer service
    • And other duties as assigned.

    Education Requirements

    • High school diploma or higher
    • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Economics, or related field OR 3-5 years' experience as a Title Assistant or other position in a real estate, title, or industry related position

    Job Type: Full-time

    Pay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
