Compliance Professionals is a small and growing company specializing in providing environmental consulting services and compliance oversight for our clients. We currently have an excellent availability for a career growth position: that of a full-time Environmental Scientist in the Northern Virginia area.
The role of the Environmental Scientist will likely entail a blend of the following services:
· Primary Duties: Lead field investigations including, but not limited to, wetland delineations, threatened and endangered species surveys, Phase I environmental site assessments, and/or environmental permitting tasks. This is an intermediate-level position for someone with strong attention to detail, diligence, self-discipline, resilience against all types of weather and outdoor environments across often physically demanding terrain, with impeccable organizational skills. Report writing and agency coordination will also be necessary. We will entertain seasoned professionals with more than 5 years of experience in this area.
· Secondary Duties: To support Compliance Pro’s diverse offerings, it is anticipated that this position will also cover a wide variety of other environmental compliance responsibilities including post-construction SWM facility inspections, VWP permit monitoring, invasive vegetation management, erosion and sediment control inspections, and participation in bathymetric surveys, among others.
Our clientele values our insights and places a great deal of trust in our oversight and consultation. A successful Environmental Scientist will have an understanding of ecological systems, excellent attention to detail, self-discipline, and communication skills. Compliance Pros is happy to train on certain services, but 2-5 years of wetland delineation experience is strongly preferred.

a. 404 permitting experience and coordination with State and Federal regulators
b. Familiarity with local regulations such as the Chesapeake Bay Act localities
3. GIS proficiency is ideal
a. ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Online experience (data acquisition, map preparation, spatial data analysis, etc.)
b. Experience with ESRI field data collection applications such as Field Maps and Collector
