Env., Health, and Safety Engineering Manager plans, develops and manages company policies for adhering to local, state and federal environment, health and safety regulations. Designs and develops facilities, work areas and work procedures. Being an Env., Health, and Safety Engineering Manager directs preparation, maintenance, and updating of environmental policy and procedure manuals. Ensures compliance with all environmental, health and safety regulations, and keeps abreast of any changes to laws and regulations that impact the organization. Additionally, Env., Health, and Safety Engineering Manager ensures projects are completed on time and within budget. Acts as advisor to environmental, health, and safety engineering team regarding projects, tasks, and operations. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a unit/department head. Summary
This position works closely with the Subsidiary President, Vice Presidents, Directors, Operations, and Site Management to communicate and implement the Safety, Health, and Environmental Programs (SH&EP) to the subsidiary company(s). The subsidiary SH&EP Manager supports the strategic objectives, works within budgetary constraints, maintains compliance with applicable state and federal laws and regulations, promotes loss prevention programs, and protects the company’s employees and physical assets from accidental loss or disruption. This position will require 80% travel.
The subsidiary SH&EP Manager is responsible for the management of SH&EP programs throughout the subsidiary company(s) and is responsible for the development and implementation of SH&EP programs to promote occupational safety, health, and environmental compliance and to reduce accidents, occupational illnesses, and exposures to long-term health hazards through hazard recognition, evaluation, and control practices to include: development of site-specific safety plans; safety training of supervisors, managers, and staff; planned inspections; planned job observations, rules and practices; job/activity analysis procedures; behavior-based safety programs; and other engineering, work practice/administrative and protective equipment Practices.
The salary range for this position is $124,637-$157,042/year.
