    How You’ll Make an Impact

    The Global Travel Operations Supervisor will be responsible for managing all aspects of travel arrangements for our employees, ensuring smooth and efficient travel experiences. Optimizes travel processes, manages travel vendors and acts as Concur SME.

     

    In the role, you would be responsible for:

    • Manages domestic and international travel arrangements, including flights, accommodations, ground transportation, and visas for employees and candidates. Negotiate contracts and agreements with airlines, hotels, car rental companies, and other travel suppliers to secure favorable rates and terms. Manages the corporate card and purchasing card program. This includes maintaining the corresponding policies, and ensuring policy is being followed. Assess and mitigate risks associated with international travel, including health, safety, and security concerns and provide travelers with up-to-date information on travel advisories, entry requirements, and safety protocols.
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for all travel-related inquiries and issues, providing exceptional customer service to internal and external clients. Ensure travel itineraries align with the company’s travel policies and budget constraints. Manages the expense tool (Concur). This includes managing the external vendor, handling any change requests, updating coding as the chart of accounts change, auditing expense reports, creating and running reports for the finance team, assist with implementation to global sites and managing unassigned travel data and credit card transactions.
    • Communicate travel itineraries and changes promptly to travelers, including resolving any travel-related problems or emergencies by liaising with travel agencies, airlines, and other service providers.
    • Manages Global Travel & Expense Policy. This includes making sure the policy is updated regularly, handling inquiries regarding interpretation of policy and suggesting changes to Manager as the need arises. Enforce adherence to corporate travel policies and procedures, educate employees on travel policies, and ensure they understand travel guidelines and restrictions.
    • Implement strategies to manage and reduce travel costs without compromising the quality of travel services, including monitoring travel expenses and identifying opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.  Stay updated with the latest travel industry trends and best practices. Manages travel arrangements for large-scale corporate events, conferences, and meetings held abroad and domestically.

    What You’ll Need

    • Bachelor's degree in Travel Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred

    • Minimum of 7 years of experience in global travel coordination or a similar role

    • Proven experience in handling high volumes of domestic and international travel arrangements.

    • Experience negotiating with travel service providers (airlines, rental cars, hotels, etc.) strongly preferred

    • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

    • Experience with the Valvoline travel platform preferred
