Enterprise Infrastructure Director manages and coordinates the information systems that will adequately support the organization's enterprise infrastructure. Monitors and manages all IT infrastructure projects to meet company and client needs. Being an Enterprise Infrastructure Director determines current and future enterprise infrastructure needs, ensuring the scalability of infrastructure design to handle expected growth. Implements policies and procedures to maintain, enhance, and secure an organization's technology infrastructure. Additionally, Enterprise Infrastructure Director is responsible for monitoring the systems to ensure the highest level of infrastructure performance. May assist in network interface planning, hardware resource availability, and the development of new applications. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Enterprise Infrastructure Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be an Enterprise Infrastructure Director typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience.   • Overview

    Responsible for implementing new resources and new revenue streams, evaluating operational processes and procedures, assisting in developing strategies and implementation plans to improve and standardize all aspects of operations. The position assists the Vice President in providing leadership for the overall operating performance of the division, monitoring and controlling construction projects through administrative direction of Project Managers/Estimators and other senior construction staff to ensure projects are built on schedule, within budget and in compliance with Company safety and procedural policies.

    Responsibilities

    • Responsible for implementing the overall direction, coordination and evaluation of the division
    • Responsible for interviewing and training employees, planning, assigning, and directing work, appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees, addressing complaints and resolving problems
    • Lead, promote and comply with all Company safety policies and procedures
    • Assist Division VP in developing the strategic plan for the business unit and ensure its implementation
    • Responsible for the overall profitability of their department
    • Achieve client satisfaction goals as put forth in the strategic plan
    • Responsible for the effective hiring, training and retention of employees within the department
    • Responsible for developing strong relationships with key vendors, owners and clients Confer with Safety Director on any jobsite safety issues
    • Work closely with staff to resolve all conflicts such as failure of subcontractors to perform, failure of materials to arrive, contract disputes, and trade conflicts
    • Interface with all staff to maintain an open line of communication and reporting, monitor job progress, schedules and subcontractor performance, and coordinate the operation of the field through management of field personnel
    • Manage and supervise Project Managers and Field Superintendents by giving ongoing performance feedback and conducting annual performance appraisals in a timely manner
    • Correlate team member's new ideas and help in implementing new policies and procedures
    • Serve as member of the Divisional management team, attending all staff meetings and contributing to the overall success of the division
    • Attend trade shows and conferences on management and construction topics as presented
    • Visit jobsites on an ongoing basis as needed Other duties as requested by the Vice President of Construction

    Qualifications

    EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

    • Bachelor's degree (B. S.) in Construction Management, Engineering, or related major or equivalent combination of education and experience 10 years of construction
    • Industry experience/knowledge of construction techniques, estimating and construction management

     

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

    • Take reasonable care of your own and others' health and safety and of those who may be affected by the day-to-day delivery of this role by taking personal responsibility for working toward Wanzek's Zero Injury principles
    • Read, analyze and interpret blueprints, professional journals, technical procedures, contracts or governmental regulations
    • Write reports, business correspondence and document project activities
    • Effectively present information and respond to questions from project managers, superintendents, clients, customers, top management, public groups, boards of directors and the general public
    • Calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, proportions, percentages, area, circumference and volume
    • Solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables
    • Interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, Primavera, Viewpoint and Construction Software
