Enterprise Infrastructure Director manages and coordinates the information systems that will adequately support the organization's enterprise infrastructure. Monitors and manages all IT infrastructure projects to meet company and client needs. Being an Enterprise Infrastructure Director determines current and future enterprise infrastructure needs, ensuring the scalability of infrastructure design to handle expected growth. Implements policies and procedures to maintain, enhance, and secure an organization's technology infrastructure. Additionally, Enterprise Infrastructure Director is responsible for monitoring the systems to ensure the highest level of infrastructure performance. May assist in network interface planning, hardware resource availability, and the development of new applications. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Enterprise Infrastructure Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be an Enterprise Infrastructure Director typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience.     THE POSITION:

    STACK is looking for a Director, Solutions Engineering, to lead technical sales engagements with our clients. In this position, you will leverage your engineering and design expertise to develop solutions that meet our client’s requirements. This is a challenging role in a fast-paced environment which will also rely on your soft skills to collect and disseminate information with internal and external stakeholders. You will help build the cloud. This position will report to the Vice President, Solutions Engineering.

    THE ROLE:

    • Manage relationships with data center technical subject matter experts.
    • Be the “Engineering Lead” - fielding solutions to meet customer requirements:
      • You are the “Data Center Expert” with a deep understanding of building design, construction, and operation.
      • Design the preliminary client solution.
      • Manage and direct communication from internal and external stakeholders.
    • Improve client engagement and articulate complex solutions.
    • Lead technical tours and sales presentations.
    • Respond to RFP’s and RFI’s.
    • Technical review of leases and exhibit creation.

    THE DETAILS:

    • Location: ANY STACK Data Center, Denver or San Francisco
    • Travel: 40-50%
    • Compensation: Up to $185,000 annually bonus
    • Must be eligible to work in the United States
    • Must pass comprehensive background screening.


    MUST-HAVE QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Minimum of 10 years of experience providing technical data center engineering.
      • Programmatic understanding of building development and construction.
      • Deep expertise in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
    • Understanding of data center infrastructure design and construction techniques, operational requirements and challenges, data center fit-out projects, equipment and technology advances and general industry trends.
    • Understanding of the technical sales process and working with technical buyers and site selection teams for data center users.
    • Capable in determining electrical and mechanical data center solutions and leading technical conversations.
    • Bachelor’s degree in a data center engineering discipline.
    • Ability to prioritize workload and attention in a rapidly changing environment.
    • Strong application software skills including MS Office, AutoCAD and TileFlow (or equivalent CFD).
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
    • Proven self-starter with attention to detail.
