Position Overview:
ClearPath Medical seeks a motivated and detail-oriented Engineering Aide to join our team in Orange, CA. The ideal candidate will assist our engineering team in various tasks related to designing, developing, and producing custom medical cable assemblies. This role is essential in supporting the engineering functions to ensure efficient and effective operations.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Technical Support:- Assist engineers in the design and development of custom medical cable assemblies.
- Prepare and update technical drawings, schematics, and documentation using CAD software.
- Conduct basic tests and measurements to support engineering projects.
- Assist in the assembly and testing of prototypes and production units.
- Collect and record data from tests and experiments.
- Provide feedback on prototype performance and suggest improvements.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of engineering activities, including test results, design changes, and project notes.
- Assist in the preparation of technical reports, manuals, and documentation for internal and external use.
- Assist in managing inventory of engineering materials, components, and supplies.
- Coordinate with suppliers to obtain necessary materials and components for projects.
- Work closely with engineers, production staff, and other departments to ensure smooth workflow and project completion.
- Participate in team meetings and provide updates on project progress and status.
- Communicate any issues or concerns to the engineering team promptly.
- A high school diploma or equivalent, associate degree, or technical certification in engineering technology, electronics, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment is a plus.
- Proficient in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Basic understanding of electrical and mechanical principles.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently on assigned tasks.
