Energy Dispatch Director directs the real-time operations of energy dispatch centers. Responsible for ongoing transmission and distribution of energy. Being an Energy Dispatch Director aware of generation expectations and is responsible for minimizing risk and maximizing efficiency and economy. Requires a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Energy Dispatch Director demonstrates expertise in a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Typically reports to a top management. The Energy Dispatch Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be an Energy Dispatch Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function. Director, Energy Storage, Market Intelligence

  • As Director – Market Intelligence (DMI), you will be responsible for the design and delivery of CEA’s Energy Storage Service (ESS) portfolio of publications and interactive client services including bespoke consulting engagements.


    What You'll Do:


    • Establishing CEA as the preferred partner for global ESS advisory services
    • Execute CEA client-facing projects as a key subject matter expert in ways that result in a wow experience (i.e., whereby CEA’s clients have a high degree of satisfaction)
    • Supporting the development of a world-class ESS advisory encompassing the delivery of syndicated market reports, strategic consulting engagements and associated data tools
    • Establishing analytical frameworks for recurring reports to deliver consistent and timely insights to clients
    • Identification and cataloguing of critical data resources to support all recurring analyses
    • Examine operational efficiency, including codifying business and execution processes and seeking ways to improve processes.
    • Leverage internal subject matter expertise within CEA by establishing cross-functional relationships to support recurring reports and ad-hoc consulting engagements
    • Maintains ownership of the ESS Supplier Market Intelligence Program (SMIP), ESS Price Forecasting Report (PFR) and ESS Supply and Technology Report (SATR)
    • Work with CEA commercial teams by developing/vetting bespoke Statements of Work (SOWs) focused on maximizing CEA revenue and profitability
    • Support the Commercial team’s efforts to move leads through the pipeline by providing subject matter expertise during business development calls
    • Support Marketing by providing content for Marcom; be a thought leader (blogs, webinars, papers, panels, trade shows, etc) with a view on priorities driven by ROI of the marcom activity
    • Commitment to becoming a recognized thought leader within the ESS sector, establishing a personal brand that reflects the cultural values and mission of CEA
    • Support Marketing by providing content for Marcom via blogs, webinars, papers, panels, trade shows, etc


    What You'll Need:

     

    • Master’s in business and/or Engineering is important.  Exceptional skills in communication and presentations is essential.
    • Deep understanding of the storage industry, ideally on a global basis
    • Robust network across suppliers, with 5-10 years background in consulting, market research or corporate strategy development
    • Background in policy and trade issues that affect storage
    • Experience in storage development or as an EPC
    • Strong and active network of renewable energy developers, IPPs, utility companies, trade associations, investors in solar and/or storage
    • Past engagements that have included visits to suppliers, in the US and aboard
