• Overall growth and development of accounts assigned; promotes the expansion of business with existing clients, as well as generates new accounts
• Identifies engagement and relationship-building opportunities for key clients and prospects
• Earns clients' respect and confidence as a trusted partner by continually bringing value to their business and a strong commitment to their success
• Leads and mentors account team
• Works with leadership team in project management, medical, and creative departments to ensure that the agency resources, department by department, are deployed with continued maximum effectiveness in line with the clients' best interest
• Key day-to-day client-facing member of the account team and offers guidance and mentorship to junior team members
• Uses skills to push clients, and the company, creatively and strategically
• Maintains a high level of performance
• Strong multitasker: Ability to run multiple projects, priorities, and client demands with a sense of ease
• Solid grasp of brand operations: Understanding the nuts and bolts of the account (brand style guide, PRC process, key data, etc)
• Is sufficiently informed and personally involved, ensuring sound planning, good service, and a solid client-company relationship
• Ensures the timely development and execution of plans, campaigns, and projects to ensure earnings, growth, and profit goals are achieved
• Plans, develops, and defends budget recommendations, work goals, measurements, and training requirements necessary to provide both quality and profitable service to clients

• Periodic travel within the United States approximately 3 to 5 times per year

• Bachelor's degree (minimum)
• 8 years of experience in medical communications and/or healthcare marketing
• 5 years of account management experience

• Ability to build relationships quickly and develop networks
• Innovative marketer and accomplished strategist with commercial and launch experience who is adept at scientific content generation, positioning, branding, and digital marketing
• Exceptional project management and organizational skills
• Significant experience in professional client relationship management; able to quickly build trust and long-term relationships with clients
• A background in pharma and biologic marketing
• The ability to plan and strategize at a senior level
• A persuasive and confident approach to projects; strong mediator and negotiator
• Excellent written and oral communication skills; ability to give effective presentations
• A keen attention to detail and budgetary constraints
• An appreciation of the client-agency relationship and insight into how agencies provide value that supports brand growth
