Electromechanical Technician fabricates, tests, analyzes, and adjusts precision electromechanical instruments. Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Being an Electromechanical Technician may have to complete an apprenticeship and/or formal training in area of specialty with 2-4 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Additionally, Electromechanical Technician relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Works under general supervision. - Apply logic and reasoning with best practice electromechanical principles to troubleshoot and repair plant equipment failures as required to minimize manufacturing disruptions.
- Evaluate condition of equipment components against manufacturer’s specifications and repair or replace as required to ensure equipment is operating at its intended design capabilities and rates.
- Utilize technical manuals and drawings to apply logical troubleshooting and repair of equipment/systems in the absence of familiarity and previous experiences with the equipment.
- Interact and communicate with others throughout the facility in a professional, cooperative and supportive manner, i.e. utilize effective team working concepts.
- Effectively complete period preventative maintenance tasks as defined by CMMS and communicate/record abnormities so they can be followed up on as needed.
- Record all work done, and spare parts used, in CMMS daily, e.g. generate, comment and close work orders.
- Comply with all plant GMP, HACCP and Safety regulations and guidelines. Immediately report any abnormities to a Supervisor or Manager.
- 2-3 years of electromechanical experience in a manufacturing setting required
- High School Diploma or GED
