    Position Summary

    The Technical Sales Engineer will be responsible for sales of our embedded sensor product line by developing new business opportunities, leads, customer acquisition and retention, and providing application, engineering and after-sales support to customers worldwide. This person will also collaborate with and assist our distribution network for the increased sales of embedded sensor products. This position will be in the USA and will be expected to travel to corporate headquarters in New Hampshire as well as to existing and prospective customer sites and trade shows.



    Key Responsibilities

    • Identify, contact, and close new sales opportunities, leveraging CRM and ERP systems;
    • Maintain an accurate and detailed pipeline in Salesforce, as well as track sales progress against quarterly/annual targets;
    • Develop and execute effective sales strategies though inbound and outbound leads and communications;
    • Develop quotations and technical proposals, collaborating with internal teams as needed;
    • Mine/develop existing sales markets for new customers, and advise on emerging markets
    • Proactively provide after sales support and account maintenance;
    • Assist customers with real-time, web-enabled chat;
    • Represent company at trade shows to promote products and services;
    • Liaise between customers and Engineering to develop suitable product solutions;
    • Create and deliver engaging presentations both in person and virtually to prospects and existing clients;
    • Collaborate with marketing and product teams on market development, outreach, and customer segmentation;
    • Other duties as assigned.



    Experience, Skills, and Education

    • Engineering or Bachelor of Science degree;
    • 5 years’ experience in scientific equipment/instrument sales including hardware and software components;
    • Understanding of technical customer base including laboratory, datacom, process control, HVAC and critical containment industries;
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
    • Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales goals;
    • Familiarity with Salesforce, Shopify, and ERP systems preferred.



    Compensation

    • Annual base salary, depending on candidate’s experience, plus commission;
    • 3 weeks annual paid vacation;
