Responsible for creating and maintaining accurate and compelling content for written copy and/or websites and other online communications media. Being an Editor ensures that all content meets required and accepted format and standards. Evaluates content for clarity, accuracy, and consistency. Additionally, Editor may coordinate with creative team to produce final drafts. Requires a bachelor's degree in journalism or equivalent. Typically reports to a manager. The Editor occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. Essential Duties/Responsibilities:- Editing picture, sound, and delivering final versions of: Showreels, Sizzle Reels, BTS/Sales videos, and Presentations/Panels as needed
- Basic sound mixing and color correction to final
- Editing and delivering frame accurate updates of Production Content with new renders.
- Working in an organized and efficient manner within Halon’s established pipeline and security protocols
- Assisting in setting up new projects ensuring editorial formats of the pipeline are in place
- Reports to Production and Editorial departments
- Uploading Content and maintaining the Halon Vimeo page
- Helping to organize and maintain the editorial folders on the Halon server
- Setting up and organizing new Editorial projects
- Rendering out content with and without watermarks as needed
- QCing content with an eye for accuracy, quality, and detail
- Other duties as assigned
- 3 years of previous experience as an Editor preferred Demonstrated professionalism and ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality and discretion
- Strong organizational skills
- Demonstrated professionalism and ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality and discretion
- Strong proficiency with Adobe Premiere
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, make decisions, and change course of action quickly
- Detail-oriented with the ability to maintain professionalism under pressure
- Positive attitude and the ability to be proactive, resourceful and flexible
- Strong people skills, including the ability to work effectively as part of a team and with professionals at all levels
- Ability to take initiative and work with limited supervision within the parameters of the assignment
- Must be a proactive problem-solver with creative instincts and the ability to complete tasks
- Experience with working with creative individuals
- $43 - $60 per hour
