Position Overview

This position exists to support the Warehouse Manager in leading a multi-shift distribution team, involving continuous coordination of distribution-related activities, workforce planning, employee relations and effective communication to meet organizational objectives. The Distribution Supervisor must be willing/able to work rotating shifts as demanded by workload.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities

• Under the direction of the Warehouse Manager plan, direct and coordinate specialist work assignments.
• Train new hires on incoming packing processes and is fluent in process.
• Supervise staff in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Monitor and aid packers with any missing product or errors that occur during packing process.
• Help sort and prioritize pick tickets, identifying which are LTL and which are not.

• Follow all customer prescribed routing requirements.
• Assists employees in all aspects of job knowledge and safety.
• Troubleshoot machine (printers, scanners etc.) areas.
• Responsible to meet department productivity and quality goals.
• Recommend and coordinate changes based on process analysis.

• Assists with 6S and Safety initiatives and activities.
• May be required to train employees in current or similar roles.
• Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• Minimum of two years’ experience in similar role or four years’ experience as a lead with progressive responsibilities.
• Knowledge of warehouse and transportation management systems.
• Strong leadership and people management skills.
• Excellent communication, writing and presentation skills.
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot machine errors and malfunctions.
• Demonstrated problem solving skills emphasizing process improvement.
• Experience using MS Office Suite, specifically Outlook and Excel.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience using IFS, or NetSuite.
• Winter sports enthusiast.
