Distribution Center Supervisor supervises daily planning, organizing, and operations of a distribution center. Oversees one or more of the distribution center functions, including order processing, picking, packaging, shipping, and receiving. Being a Distribution Center Supervisor monitors inventory levels to ensure sufficient levels to fulfill all orders. Balances workloads as needed to achieve production and delivery goals for each shift. Additionally, Distribution Center Supervisor utilizes software, data, and analytics to optimize operations, track production metrics, and anticipate and resolve problems. Provides the necessary equipment, tools, and training to staff to ensure safe, secure, and efficient operations. Complies with all OSHA and other regulations, policies, safety procedures, and documentation requirements. Typically requires an associate degree or equivalent. Typically reports to a manager. The Distribution Center Supervisor supervises a small group of para-professional staff in an organization characterized by highly transactional or repetitive processes. Contributes to the development of processes and procedures. To be a Distribution Center Supervisor typically requires 3 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. Warehouse Quality Supervisor
What Will You Do?
The Ashley Network is seeking a motivated and analytical Warehouse Quality Supervisor to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a key role in optimizing warehouse processes, improving product quality, and reducing errors. You will work closely with distribution center leadership to identify areas for improvement, collect and analyze data, and implement changes that drive efficiency and effectiveness.- Collaborate with leadership to analyze processes, identify bottlenecks, and develop solutions for improvement.
- Collect, analyze, and report data on product performance and adherence to standard operating procedures.
- Utilize Continuous Improvement communication tools to share findings and recommendations.
- Conduct audits of various warehouse processes, including product location, delivery truck preparation, and product handling.
- Assist in developing and delivering training programs for warehouse personnel.
- Recommend and implement changes to improve processes and reduce errors.
- Travel among the Ashley Network facilities as needed.
- Associate degree in Business, Quality Management, or equivalent work experience.
- At least 1 year of experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to promote teamwork.
- Excellent understanding of blueprints and engineering specifications.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Self-motivated with strong time management and organizational skills.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including data mining and data organization.
- Ability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to travel among the Ashley Network facilities.
